Caledonian has had a presence in the Isle of Man since 1996. Operating from modern offices on the top floor of One Circular Road, Douglas, Isle of Man, Caledonian Fund Services (Europe) Limited (“CFSEL”) and Caledonian Trust (IOM) Limited (“CTIOM”) serve Caledonian’s clients in the European time zone.
CFSEL holds Category 3 and 4 Investment Business licenses issued by the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission under the Financial Services Act 2008, as amended to provide collective investment scheme and corporate services. This allows it to provide fund administration services to a wide range of Isle of Man domiciled funds as well as funds domiciled outside of the Isle of Man in jurisdictions such as Cayman and the BVI. The majority of CFSEL’s clients are London and Swiss based hedge fund managers.
CFSEL has a highly experienced locally sourced workforce capable of servicing many hedge fund strategies as well as fund of funds and has a particular specialty in emerging markets and special situations focused funds. CFSEL is fully integrated onto the Caledonian technology platform and utilises the Advent Geneva fund accounting system, supported by Paladyne for fund accounting and transaction processing. Shareholder services are carried out on the Mantra system and both managers and shareholders can access information online via the MantraWeb application.
CTIOM holds Category 4 and 5 licences issued by the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission under the Financial Services Act 2008, as amended, to provide Corporate and Trust Services. This allows CTIOM to provide corporate administration and registered office services to companies as well as Trust administration services.
CTIOM also has a highly experienced locally sourced workforce that provides corporate administration services to clients based throughout Europe and Asia. Although the portfolio is varied, the particular speciality is in administering special purpose vehicles for the shipping industry, property holding companies, and investment holding companies.
CTIOM also provides full accounting services to client companies and trusts.
