Wernigerode & Brocken Mountain Railway - Wernigerode is a charming town with elaborate half-timbered buildings dating back to the 9th century and is overlooked by its stunning castle. Experience a wintry journey aboard the Brocken Railway through snowy forests to the summit of Brocken Mountain, part of the impressive Harz Mountain range.

Selketal Railway - This romantic railway track runs through the very heart of verdant forests - one of the region's best-kept and follows the course of the Selke Valley, which carries the River Selke and passing through some of the most dramatic natural scenery of the middle Harz mountains.

Hotel Der Krauterhof - Located in the middle of the Harz National Park, opposite the historic train station of the Brocken Railway. The village of Drei Annen Hohne is located between Wernigerode and Schierke.

Excursion to Wernigerode & Brocken Mountain Railway - Wernigerode is a charming town with elaborate half-timbered buildings dating back to the 9th century and is overlooked by its stunning castle.  

Experience a journey aboard the Brocken Railway through spectacular scenery to the summit of Brocken Mountain, part of the impressive Harz Mountain range. The Brocken Railway weaves a scenic route through the Harz National Park up to the summit of the Brocken. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of fairytale syyle forests, quaint station houses and glittering frozen rivers.  Apart from being the Harz's tallest peak, Brocken Mountain is also home to Germany's highest narrow-gauge railway station, our arrival point following our journey.

Excursion on the Selketal Railway

The Selketal Railway, forms part of the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways, traversing the picturesque Selke Valley in the Harz Mountains. Running from Quedlinburg to Hasselfelde, it provides a scenic ride through dense forests, rolling hills, and quaint villages. The railway, known for its historical significance, provides a nostalgic travel experience. The Selketal Railway combines beautiful scenery with a touch of romantic nostalgia, making it a must-visit journey.

Time to enjoy Goslar

Goslar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a historic town in the Harz Mountains of Germany. Renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture, Goslar boasts the Imperial Palace (Kaiserpfalz), an impressive 11th-century structure. The town's picturesque streets are lined with half-timbered houses, charming squares, and historic churches, such as the Market Church of St. Cosmas and Damian. Explore the Rammelsberg Mining Museum, a testament to the town's rich mining history.
