Pitlochry & Scone Palace - Enjoy a wonderful scenic excursion to Pitlochry. First, we visit Scone Palace, one of Scotland’s most important stately homes with an exciting, colourful history. Poised above the River Tay with the Grampian Mountains forming a distant backdrop, Scone Palace was once the capital of the Picts and has been the seat of parliament and the crowning place of the Kings of Scots, including Macbeth and Robert the Bruce. Before continuing to the Highland town of Pitlochry, rich in history and beautiful scenery, it’s not surprising that Pitlochry is one of Scotland’s most popular holiday destinations.
