A’right! It’s Yorkshire Day on 1st August, and ‘ere at Caledonian Travel, we’re dead proud to be flyin’ t’flag for God’s Own County.

Wi’ offices in Leeds an’ Hull, plus Travel Centres in Leeds an’ Wakefield, we’re proper rooted in’t heart o’t North. So we’ve put together a grand selection of breaks showin’ off the very best bits o’ Yorkshire – from Scarborough sands to Dales views, an’ all them cobbled streets in between.

Coach breaks to Scarborough – aye, it’s class

Scarborough’s been pullin’ folk in for over 300 years – and for good reason. It’s a proper belter of a place wi’ sandy beaches, grand views and more than enough to keep thee busy.

Whether tha’s paddlin’ in South Bay, moochin’ around Scarborough Castle or watchin’ a band at the Open Air Theatre, there’s summat for everyone.

Don’t miss t’SEA LIFE centre or a bag o’ chips on t’harbour. It’s the law! And wi’ excursions chucked in, comfy digs, and sometimes even a cheeky drinks package, it’s a grand way to see Yorkshire’s finest coast.

A couple a days in Whitby? G’wan then

Whitby int just about Dracula - though that abbey at the top o’t 199 steps does look a bit spooky in fog. It’s got proper charm, wi’ its cobbled streets, fresh seafood, and cracking views.

Trips out tek thee over t’North York Moors Steam Railway (aye, that one from Heartbeat), plus days in Scarborough and even Durham wi’ its big ol’ cathedral. If tha loves a harbour, a ghost story, or just a smashing bit o’ scampi, Whitby’s yer place.

Grand old York – full o’history an’ hidden gems

Fancy a wander through medieval streets and ancient city walls? York’s got it all – Vikings, Romans, tea rooms, and one o’t biggest cathedrals in Europe. That’s nowt to sniff at.

Stroll down t’Shambles, nip in a museum or two, and if tha’s in luck, there might be a market on. And don’t miss the Christmas markets later in t’year – proper festive feel to ‘em. Some breaks even throw in entertainment on a night, or a stop-off in places like Harrogate or Leeds for a bit o’ variety.

T’Yorkshire Dales – fresh air an’ views for days

Nowt beats a trip through t’Dales. Green hills, stone walls, and little towns like Skipton and Grassington that look like summat off telly. One minute you’re takin’ a photo of a waterfall, next minute you’re eatin’ a pork pie from a market stall. Perfect.

It’s not all sheep an’ scenery, mind - there’s Harrogate too, if tha fancies a brew at Betty’s or a bit o’shoppin’. Whether you’re walkin’ t’legs off or takin’ it steady, the Dales are summat special.

A reyt cracking bunch o’ breaks an’ ‘olidays

If f’some reason ya want t’go somewhere else, we’ve got thasens some proper good-value breaks an’ holidays across Britain, Ireland an’ even further afield – wi’ loads o’ ‘em costin’ less than a ton! Can’t run t’break for any reason? Don’t fret – we’ll get thy brass back within a week if tha doesn’t fancy owt else. That’s our promise.

Want to go away an’ still do yer bit for t’planet? Coach travel’s top o’tree - way better for emissions than cars, planes or even trains. It’s summat we’re proper proud of.

We use clean-as-a-whistle, top-spec Euro 6 engines - posh, but good for t’air. So tha can feel reyt smug while tha’s enjoyin’ thy break.
