NEW HOTEL: Introducing the Caledonian Island Hotel, Isle of Wight

The Caledonian Hotel Collection is expanding again, and we're proud to announce the purchase of the striking 104-bedroom Broadway Park Hotel in the wonderful seaside resort of Sandown on the Isle of Wight, in partnership with our investors.

Following the acquisition, the property will be renamed as The Caledonian Island Hotel – a title chosen to reflect the company’s affection for, and strong connection to, the Isle of Wight. The hotel becomes the sixth property to join the growing Caledonian Hotel Collection portfolio, which already includes popular destinations in Torquay, Blackpool, Scarborough, Arrochar, and most recently, Callander.

“After the success of The Caledonian Hotel Collection in other key UK locations, we’re thrilled to welcome another beautiful hotel to our portfolio,” said Graham Rogers, Managing Director at Caledonian Leisure.

Looking ahead to 2026


The hotel is scheduled to reopen in February 2026, welcoming both coach package and self-drive guests.

Packages for The Caledonian Island Hotel will be available through Caledonian Travel - the UK’s leading operator of coach breaks - and UKBreakaways, both named British Travel Award winners in 2024. Guests can look forward to year-round entertainment, outstanding value, and the warm Caledonian welcome that defines every stay.


This latest acquisition follows a significant investment in The Caledonian Thistle Hotel in Callander, which reopened in August after a major refurbishment. Occupancy for 2025 is already exceeding projections, with excellent feedback from customers who’ve stayed there.
