Our Award Winning Caledonian Hotel Collection

Now that Christmas and New Year have been and gone, that silent relief has kicked in as things begin to settle back down again. The decorations are packed away, routines return, and you stop having to think quite so hard about what day it is..!

It's January. And January gets us going again, which isn't a bad thing. But suddenly the year feels long once more, with a whole load of time stretching out ahead of us.

That’s often when thoughts turn to our next break. Nothing complicated, just something to put a marker in the calendar. A few days away on holiday...somewhere else to be.

And that’s where the award-winning Caledonian Hotel Collection comes into its own.

Smiles at the seaside

Some people's first thoughts for their 2026 holiday are to head to the coast. Not necessarily for sun or heat, just for a change of scenery and a bit of space. Scarborough does that well.

Staying at the Caledonian New Southlands Hotel in Scarborough puts you close to the seafront, the town, and plenty of places to walk, sit, and stop for a brew.

There’s the promenade for an easy stroll, the harbour and town centre to explore, and always somewhere warm to head back to afterwards. You can fill your days if you want, or just take them as they come.

And on an evening, you'll get entertainment in the hotel, maybe a visit from Caly The Lion, and enjoy time with other seaside holiday makers.

Bustling Blackpool

Blackpool suits people who prefer things a bit busier. The Caledonian Tower Hotel sits in a town where there’s nearly always something happening, whatever time of year you visit.

Shows, lights, events, and plenty of places to eat and drink mean there’s always an option if you fancy heading out. Even outside peak season, Blackpool keeps its energy, and that sense of life is exactly why some people choose it for a break that feels lively rather than quiet.

The Caledonian Tower Hotel is a stone's throw from the famous Blackpool Tower (hence the name!) and you're only a few feet away from the tram stop - meaning you can get about this famous seaside town very easily.

And as for food...did you know that our hotel stays include dinner, bed and breakfast - as well as inclusive drinks?

Relaxing on the Riviera

Further south, Torquay offers a different pace again. The Caledonian Torbay Hotel is about steady days by the sea, gentle walks, and a more relaxed feel overall.

You might spend time along the harbour, enjoy the coastal views, or simply slow things down and take each day as it comes. It’s a place where you don’t need a full plan to enjoy yourself, and where time seems to pass easily.

It's worth the journey on the coach to get down to this lovely seaside spot, especially when your drivers pulls up at the front door and all you need to do is grab your case, check in, and start your Torquay holiday with us!

Scenic Scotland

Some us like the scenic option instead. The Caledonian Claymore Hotel in Arrochar, near Loch Lomond sits in an area where the views are part of the day, whether you’re out walking or just looking around.

Up in Arrochar, with lochs, hills, and open space all around, it’s the sort of place that encourages you to get some fresh air and take things at your own pace. Some people like to explore further afield, others are happy keeping things simple and enjoying the setting. And we promise you, the view from the fron of the hotel will take your breath away.

As part of your Scotland coach break, you'll be able to go on excursions with other holiday makers to places like Oban or Gretna Green.

A memorable stay with Caledonian Travel, and a place you'll want to return to.

Town and Countryside

Nearby, the Caledonian Thistle Hotel in Callander offers a town setting with countryside close by. There are shops, cafés, and places to wander in the town itself, with plenty of options for short outings nearby.

It works well for people who like having things within easy reach, without feeling remote. You can explore a little each day, or just enjoy being somewhere different without needing to travel far.

One of our newest hotels, the bar is styled as a Scottish pub - cozy and traditional, and the food and entertainment here are outstanding.

A small town of bakeries, cafes, waterside walks and shops on your doorstep, this is a break that everyone will enjoy.

I Love Isle of Wight

Our most recent acquisition to our hotel collection is the Caledonian Island Hotel in Sandown on the Isle of Wight, and if you feel like going a bit further afield, you'll love it here.

The award-winning Sandown Beach is a short walk from the beautiful mansion set amongst four acres of grounds, giving holidaymakers a mix of coastal enjoyment with its pier, esplanade and watersports, with sophisticated elegance.

The hotel even boasts its own red squirrel colony, and its wood-panelled lounges and grand staircases invite guests to explore the vast luxury that this hotel has to offer.

With 104 bedrooms, comfort is always taken care of. Some of the rooms come with terrace access, and we promise a memorable Isle of Wight holiday when you travel to the Caledonian Island Hotel with us.

The Caledonian Hotel Collection – everything you need

With drinks packages, meals, live entertainment, and maybe even some excursions included in our hotel breaks, you’ve got everything organised in one booking. Your holiday starts from the moment you board our coach at one of our many pick-up points, and doesn’t really end, you’ll probably still be talking about it months afterwards.

January doesn’t need grand plans. For many people, it’s enough to have a few days away marked on the calendar. A change of pace, a different place, and something to look forward to once 2026 finds its feet.

That’s often all good breaks need to be.

Breaks to Make You Smile.
