Caly’s April Playlist: What Are You Listening To?

If you’ve travelled with Caledonian Travel before, you’ll know one thing for sure…

Caly the Lion loves a coach holiday.

But what you might not know is that Caly is also a bit of a music fan. New music, old music, there's quite a few that get his foot tapping!

So, if you’re looking for a little listening inspiration this month, here are a few artists and shows that have made it onto Caly’s current playlist, along with some brilliant music breaks you can join us on this year.

Rick Astley, Never Gonna Give You Up

Caly couldn’t make an April playlist without a bit of Rick Astley.

Yes, Never Gonna Give You Up is still a classic, but there’s plenty more where that came from, and seeing a Rick Astley tour show is always a guaranteed feel-good night out.

If you fancy it, you can travel with us to see Rick Astley perform in Liverpool or at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, a perfect excuse for a music-filled break by the seaside.

Alfie Boe

For something a little more powerful, Caly’s been enjoying attending Alfie Boe concerts.

From West End favourites to big emotional ballads, he’s one of those voices that fills a room properly, and a live performance makes for a really special evening.

We offer breaks including tickets to the Alfie Boe Tour 2026, for the show at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, a brilliant setting for a night of music and a couple of days away.

ABBA

Some songs never really leave you.

And Caly will happily admit that ABBA is always somewhere on the playlist, whether it’s Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, or The Winner Takes It All.

While the original band might not be touring, you can still experience the magic with ABBA Voyage in London (held in the purpose-built ABBA Arena), or enjoy one of the many fantastic ABBA tribute shows featured in our breaks throughout the year.

Nathan Carter

Caly also has a soft spot for Nathan Carter, the perfect soundtrack for anyone who enjoys a lively show with plenty of singalong moments.

We have breaks that include Nathan Carter tickets live in Aberdeen, with time to make a weekend of it, including visits to places like Ballater and Braemar.

Music, fresh air, and a great atmosphere all in one.

Phantom of the Opera

And finally… Caly loves a good musical.

This month, Phantom of the Opera has been on repeat, and it’s easy to see why. It’s one of the most soundtracks of all time!

Our breaks include Phantom of the Opera tickets, along with free time in the capital to enjoy the sights, a meal out, and that lovely feeling of a city break where everything’s already organised for you.
