Harrogate Spring Flower Show

When: 21st – 24th April 2022
Where: Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate
Holiday Departure Date: Saturday 23 April 2022

Organised by the North of England Horticultural Society, a charity set up more than 100 years ago, the Harrogate Spring Flower Show is the first main event in the UK gardening calendar.

The show will provide you with knowledge and inspiration to help you create the perfect outdoor space. All the profits from the show go back to the charity, so they can be used to promote horticulture throughout the North of England.

• Show Gardens – With everything from large-scale gardens to much smaller spaces, they provide visitors with lots of unique design ideas.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show

When: 24th – 28th May 2022

Where: The Royal Hospital, Chelsea – home to the Chelsea pensioners.

Organised by the Royal Horticultural Society, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show is regarded as the world’s greatest flower show, with stunning garden designs, fantastic floral displays and opportunities for a spot of retail therapy.

The first show took place in 1913, all within a single tent. It’s now a much bigger event attracting visitors from all over the world. It’s a unique flower show experience that’s not to be missed.

Attractions:

• Show Gardens – Discover cutting-edge garden designs. Prizes are awarded for the very best designs, within a range of different categories.
• Floral displays – Chat with people from the world’s finest nurseries, see their amazing creations and get some pearls of wisdom from them.

RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 

When: 4th - 9th July 2022

Where: Hampton Court Palace

Holiday Departure Date: Friday 8th July 2022

Organised by the Royal Horticultural Society, RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival is the largest flower show in the world and a summer festival like no other.

With the first event held in 1990, a visit to this fantastic show is a very special out as it has so much to offer.

Attractions:

• Show Gardens – Packed full of beautiful blooms, you’ll enjoy the festival vibe at this event. With a range of themes including Global Impact, Get Started and Lifestyle gardens, there’s something for everyone.

Blenheim Palace Flower Show

When: 24th – 26th June 2022

Where: Within the impressive grounds of Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

Blenheim Flower Show is one of the newer flower shows, with the first event held in 2012. It’s definitely a date for your diary though, as it grows in popularity year on year.

It all happens within 2,100 acres of stunning parkland, landscaped by the famous Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.

Attractions:

• Grand Floral Pavilion – This is very much the centre of the show and it’s where you’ll find breathtaking displays of flowers, fruits and vegetables from nurseries up and down the country.

RHS Tatton Park Flower Show

When: 20th – 24th July 2022

Where: Tatton Park, a 15^th century historic location with a mansion, manor house, Tatton Old Hall, farm & deer park.

Located in the stunning parklands of Tatton Park, this is a summer event with a relaxed atmosphere.

RHS Tatton Park Flower Show is another popular event organised by the Royal Horticultural Society, inspiring gardeners whilst also offering fun activities for all the family, workshops & demonstrations, food & drink stalls and live music entertainment.

Attractions:

• Glorious Gardens – Get some creative ideas for your garden. The gardens on display include work from up-and-coming designers.

Southport Flower Show

When: 18th - 21st August 2022

Where: Victoria Park, in the centre of Southport

Southport Flower Show is a 4-day summer festival that celebrates all things flora and fauna.

It’s one of the largest independent flower shows in the country and is enjoyed by many families every year.

Attractions:

• Grand Floral Marquee – This is one of the show’s highlights where you’ll be able to discover a range of plants, flowers, trees, shrubs, vegetables and herbs.
• Food Village – This is where you’ll find the food marquee offering delicious produce. The food village also includes the cookery theatre, with demonstrations from famous chefs.
