The Flying Scotsman breaks by Coach

Climb aboard and enjoy a wonderful train ride, led by the famous Flying Scotsman and experience this legendary feat of British engineering whilst travelling along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. 

The Flying Scotsman is a record-holding train. It was the first authenticated steam locomotive to reach 100 miles per hour in 1934, whilst also holding the record for the longest non-stop journey by steam in 1989 with a 442-mile trip. 

You just won’t want to miss the opportunity to travel on this beautiful train, often described as the most famous locomotive in the world.  

Sit back, relax and take in the enchanting atmosphere of a bygone era, whilst admiring the picturesque views of the surrounding countryside. 

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is one of the UK’s most scenic heritage railways, running through the stunning North York Moors National Park. Our journey sees us travel between Grosmont and Pickering and the line offers a nostalgic steam and diesel train experience, passing through picturesque villages. Operated largely by volunteers, the NYMR is both a working museum and a vital link to the area’s railway history. It’s a favourite for families, history lovers, and film fans, having featured in productions like Harry Potter.

Our break includes coach travel with reserved seating, hotel accommodation with dinner, bed and breakfast, and an unforgettable ride on the train, pulled by the Flying Scotsman.
