This one’s for all you long-term Emmerdale fans who remember the days of Annie Sugden, Seth Armstrong, Mr Wilks, and Amos Brearly’s famous sideburns!

We’re taking you back to the iconic Emmerdale filming location in Esholt - where the popular soap opera was filmed for over two decades between 1976 and 1997. Enjoy a nostalgia-filled visit to the show's second Woolpack pub, followed by a walk at your leisure to see some of the other memorable exterior scenes from back in the classic Emmerdale Farm days.

The Woolpack by Coach

The Woolpack is the legendary local where many a heart-to-heart, classic argument, laugh, and tear was shared over a pint. Along with a drink at the famous pub, you’ll be able to visit Eric Pollard’s old Auction House (now Esholt Village Hall) and venture through the rest of the village to see some of the other landmark locations before filming relocated to its current purpose-built Yorkshire Dales set on the Harewood Estate, near Leeds.

As you stroll through the village, see if you can spot:

The Post Office: The bustling heart of village gossip, famously run for years in real life by the beloved, no-nonsense postmistress Jean Rogers, who also appeared in the show.
Pear Tree Cottage: The cosy home that saw the dramatic ups and downs of Jack and Sarah Sugden's marriage.
The Village Playground: A part of everyday life in the village, where generations of Emmerdale’s younger residents grew up on screen.
St Paul’s Church: The setting for countless dramatic soap moments, including the unforgettable wedding of Emmerdale icons Jack Sugden and Sarah Connolly in May 1994.
Demdyke Row: The classic row of terraced cottages that housed various village residents, serving as the backdrop for so many neighbourhood dramas in the 80s and 90s.
The Vets: Where the local veterinary surgeons, from Zoe Tate to Paddy Kirk, treated the area's livestock and managed plenty of their own personal traumas.
