Accessibility - While the ground floor can be accessed via an outside ramp, please bear in mind that the historic layout of our building includes a few steps once you are inside. There are five steps to reach the main areas and lift, and two steps to access the accessible toilet. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't have any rooms on the ground floor and because the lift is situated on one side of the property, accessing certain rooms involves a bit of a walk as well as a few shallow steps along the bedroom landings. In addition, most of our en-suite bathrooms feature a shower over the bath. If you or anyone in your party has mobility considerations, please let us know when booking; we’ll be very happy to look into allocating a room as close to the lift as possible to ensure your stay is as comfortable as can be. January 2027 departures - As part of our ongoing investment to improve our guest experience, we’re currently in the process of installing a brand-new lift at The Caledonian Tower Hotel. While these works are well underway, the new lift unfortunately won’t be completed in time for any stays throughout January. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and we just wanted to give you advance notice. If you have any concerns or require extra assistance with your luggage, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team, who will be more than happy to help.
