Running between November and December, this magical event fills the heart of the city at Town Hall Square with over 70 traditional wooden chalets. With its backdrop of Roman walls, medieval Rows shopping arcades, and the magnificent Cathedral, Chester provides one of the most charming festive settings in the UK.

What’s on at Chester Christmas Market?

There’s so much to enjoy at this year’s market in Town Hall Square:

  • Local produce: Cheshire cheese, small-batch chutneys, Cheshire Farm ice-cream

  • Lantern Parade & Cathedral Tree Festival: hundreds of lanterns and 80+ decorated trees
